NOVEMBER 18th: Parent & Small Group Leader Breakfast
It's time for another Parent & Small Group Leader get together! We have the best student Small Group Leaders on the planet, they love your students and would love to meet you if they haven't yet. We know it is not easy raising a teenager! We only get to see them about 1-2 hours a week but our goal is to use those hours to come along side you, reinforce all that you are teaching them and encourage them as they continue to move towards Jesus. We are looking forward to learning more about you and your family as well as how we can continue to support you on this parenting Journey. Mark your calendars and come hang out in the 412 Room on Sunday the 18th thirty minutes before each service!

SUNDAYS IN NOVEMBER: Life On Mission
This month we will be diving into a series called Life On Mission during our Sunday morning services. It is a great practical series where we will uncover the basics of the Gospel and how we can apply the teachings of Jesus in our everyday life. Sunday services are designed for Middle School Students grades 6th-8th and meet every Sunday during both 9:30 & 11:00 services in the 412 Room directly behind the Connection Table.

NOVEMBER 14th: Cookout After Service
Following service on the 14th we will head to Cookout in Jackson for some milkshakes, burgers and cookout rounds! We will leave from church at 8pm after service ends, students can be picked up between 8:30-9:30 at Cookout. Students need to bring money if they will be eating.

NOVEMBER 21st: No Service
We will not meet on November 21st. Enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday with family! Services will resume on the 28th.

AFTER YOU: A 4-WEEK SERIES ON OTHERS

In a culture obsessed with selfies, celebrities, money, and success, it’s not difficult to understand why so many of us struggle with being a little self-centered at times. But while “me first” may the norm for the rest of the world, Jesus showed us what it looks like to live a generous, compassionate, selfless, “after you” kind of life. In this 4-week series, you’ll challenge students to move away from the world’s “me first” attitude and embrace the “after you” message of Jesus by noticing needs, opening their hands, using their gifts, and sharing their joy.

We don't want to freak you out or anything, but here's something to keep in mind: more often than not, your teenager's faith will mirror yours. This month, be mindful of the example you're setting for your teenager. It matters!

There are a lot of reasons it can be difficult for teenagers to put others before themselves, but let's be honest. The time they spend taking selfies and counting Instagram likes probably doesn't help. That's why we love this new tool called Circle, with Disney. It's the new way for parents like you to manage content and time across all your teenagers' devices. Check it out here.

We're always trying to better understand what it's like to parent a teenager. So here's what we're wondering: What's the BEST thing about parenting your teenager right now? Hit Reply on this email and let us know!
